The U1 takes you to the centre of Vienna, in 6 minutes you are at Stephansplatz - and further without changing to the Donauinsel. In the vicinity are also stations of the trams 6, 18, 67 and O.
At Keplerplatz is the beautiful Renassaince Church of St. Jan Evangelist (Kepler Church). Around the Keplerplatz there is a shopping street where you can find everything from restaurants and cafes, to pharmacy, banks, post office, supermarket, drugstores, clothing stores (H&M, Calzedonia, Orsay, New Yorker, Humanic, Tezenis, ...) Electrical engineering (Saturn) If you like the classic market, you can visit the Viktor-Adler-Market 5min away, where you can buy fresh vegetables, fruits, meat, fish or pastries every day.
Not far away is also the Belvedere Castle, with an extensive art collection (Gustav Klimt etc.) beautiful castle garden and also a botanical garden.
For a picnic or sunbathing you can visit the large Helmut-Zilk-Park or the Schweizergarten with 21er Haus, Museum of Modern Art.
