Simmering, the 11th District, is a residential and industrial area. Many discount stores and kebab stands are located on its main drag, Simmeringer Hauptstrasse. The Gasometers, 4 converted 19th-century gas containers, now house shops, event spaces and apartments. The art nouveau Church of St. Charles Borromeo sits in the vast Central Cemetery, where notable graves include Beethoven and Schubert. 
The apartment is located in the Rinnböckstraße, walking distance from the concert venue Szene Wien, Arena or Gasometer as well as the famous Marx Halle. It is very close to the metro line U3 station Zippererstraße and tram station Molitorgasse, therefore very well connected to the city center.  
In the nearby Simmeringer Hauptstraße there are numerous restaurants and bars offering variety of cuisines! From traditional Austrian meals that you can find in Simmeringer Landbier and Viennese Schnitzel in Stern Gasthaus Christian Werner to numerous Asian food venues and pizzerias.
