Descripiton of accommodation

The flat has been completely renovated from the ground up, is naturally cool in summer and well heated in winter. All windows have mosquito nets, but the rooms are all bright and homely. The neighbours are friendly and quiet.
It's a great place to relax, listen to the birds, and even listen to and watch the squirrels.

Infrastructure

Unfortunately, in the long run, like almost everywhere in Upper Austria, a car is necessary. You might be able to do enough shopping with a bicycle. To the north, after about 400 m, you will find a shopping area with Hofer, Lidl, Billa+ and a pharmacy, drugstores, books and clothing.
Towards the south, following the lake, you will find Hofer, Billa+, Bipa and SPAR after about one kilometre. There are petrol stations everywhere from cheap to expensive. The Gmunden lido can be reached in 10-15 minutes on a footpath heading east, be careful, steep for bicycles !!!.
Doctors and the regional hospital are only a 5-minute walk away and a Catholic church is only 150 m away.
Eating places are in the shopping area, in the old town, and towards Altmünster to the south, caffees along the lake esplanade in both directions.
Near the flat to the north you will find a coffee confectioner and bakery.

If you come by train, you should take the regional train to Vorchdorf at the station and get off at the third (Rosenkrantz) or fourth (tennis court) and walk the hundred metres. The ÖBB long-distance ticket is valid on the regional train to the north-eastern end of Gmunden.

House rules

The area is very quiet, especially in the evenings. Small children are in bed early in the evening and generally older people predominate in the area. Therefore, except for New Year, there are no noisy parties after sunset. In the flat no problem, in the garden maybe.

It is recommended to leave the street shoes at the wardrobe, as you bring a lot of dirt into the flat through the meadow.

Further information

Pets can come along, both neighbours have old dogs. It won't be easy for dogs to get over the fences, the south-western dog is very quiet, the north-western one is a daily yapper and people with dogs pass by on the street. Your dog should be peaceful enough to avoid any difficulties.
