I do not aim to be a host who imposes rules and regulations on his guests. However, I do expect my apartment to be treated with respect and care.
For example, anyone who lies on the bed or couch with their shoes on, or uses a knife on the countertop without a cutting board, has not yet attained a certain level of decency.

The other residents of this house would certainly appreciate being greeted with a friendly hello. It is greatly appreciated when consideration is given to quiet hours at night.
