Großgmain is a 15-minute drive west of the city of Salzburg, right on the Bavarian-Austrian border. Within a radius of 200m there are bakery, tobacconist, supermarket, post office, bank and at least three restaurants / pizzeria. Nearby there is a kindergarten, the elementary school and the municipal office. By car you are in 10 minutes on the highway to Munich or Vienna or at the Salzburg airport. The city of Salzburg takes about 20 minutes by car or 40 minutes by bus (no. 180). There is a very good bicycle path connection to Salzburg and many cycle routes for sporty cycling or mountain biking or for cycling to the surrounding lakes (Thumsee, Waginger See). All outdoor and mountain sports (jogging, climbing, hiking, mountain biking, skiing, swimming) can be practiced in the immediate vicinity. There are various wellness offers (Rupertus-Therme and Kurbad Bad Reichenhall). And above all, there are many cultural sites nearby with many events (Salzburg Festival, various cinemas, State Theater Salzburg, theater and art academy Bad Reichenhall).
