NEIGHBOURHOOD
Gnigl is a calm and extremely safe neighborhood in the north-eastern part of Salzburg, about 15 minutes from the historic city center by public transportation.
Supermarket, pharmacy, bank, bakery, park: all in short walking distance (3-5 minutes).
Parking is free in this area and there's usually a parking spot available in front of the house or close by.
If you've had enough of sightseeing in the Altstadt, you could go hiking to the local mountains (e.g. Heuberg or Gaisberg) directly from the apartment and enjoy the view of the city from above.

TRANSPORTATION
There is a direct bus connection from and to the airport and main railway station (Obus Line 2).
There are regional bus and railway stations (S-Bahn) to explore the region (20 min to Fuschlsee, 30 min to Mondsee) in walking distance.
There are several car rental stations in the area.
Plus various city bus stations within 3-5 minutes walking distance (250-350m) to go to the city center (10-15 minute ride, depending on which part of the city you want to go to).

CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT TIMES
Check-in is after 2PM, check-out is before 10AM.
Early check-ins and late check-outs will happily be accepted, only if possible and confirmed by one of the hosts. Back-to-back rentals may make early check-ins and/or late check-outs impossible. Just talk to us.
However, dropping off luggage early and picking it up late is no problem.
Please note: No UNEXPECTED early check-in or late check-out possible!

ADDITIONAL GUESTS
Due to local regulations all guests must be declared on the reservation. Not declaring guests will incur a fee of €50 per undeclared person per night. You may not have an additional guest beyond the declared maximum amount of 3 guests!

QUIET TIME
Please keep things quiet between 10PM and 7AM, especially outside or with the windows open. Please be respectful to our neighbors, we live in a quiet neighborhood.

SAFETY
No candles or open flames inside the apartment.
No firearms are allowed on the property.

GARDEN
Please don’t enter the garden. It’s private property and not part of the apartment. It can be dangerous for infants and small kids!

SECURITY
Please close and lock all doors and windows when you're not in the residence.

KEY
Unreturned and/or lost house keys will be charged a €50 replacement fee.

NO SMOKING IN THE HOUSE
This is a non-smoking building. Any type of smoke in the apartment or house is prohibited. You are allowed to smoke on the patio in front of the main entrance.

BATHROOM
Please open the bathroom window after showering for a few minutes to air the room and get rid of the moisture! Thanks!

TOILET
Only toilet paper and human waste is to be flushed down the toilet, please.

LEFT-OVER ITEMS
If you forget any items in the apartment, contact us and we’ll try to help (if possible). But we are not responsible for any left over items after check-out.

LOCAL TAXES
Local taxes and charges (€1.55 per person per night) are included in the price, no extra charges.

GROCERIES
Supermarket, butcher, pharmacy, bank and bakery are in walking distance. The bakery is only 2 min away on foot and is also open on Sundays when other markets are closed.

PARKING
Public parking is free in this area until end of September 2020. Usually, there are free parking spaces right in front of the house next to the gate.
From October 1st 2020, parking is free from 7PM to 9AM on weekdays. During the week only parking for up to 3 hours is allowed with a parking meter inside your car (we provide one in the apartment).

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
There are stations of various city and regional bus and train connections in walking distance (250 meters or 3 minutes).

LIVING
Please keep in mind that you're staying in a house where people live, not a hotel!
Please treat this space with respect. We've put a lot of effort into our apartment.
